    Default Ok, Who Saw It?

    who saw Smallville tonight?

i guess Clark's new suit is Smallville's version of the "Black Suit" that Superman wore when he came back from the dead back in 1993. he did start wearin his "Punisher get-up" in the series, after he fought Doomsday, just like in the comic book. did you guys see Green's Corben take, i was waitin for Tori Spelling to bust in on that kiss, between him and Lois hahaha, (remember guys, she has been on Smallville before) a little 90210 reunion isnt that far-fetched hahahaha. whats with Coben always forcin a kiss on Lois, it happend in the animated series too back in 1996.

i like how the style of the "S" they are usin, is the Reeve version (Happy Birthday for today Christopher!, wherever you are). its also the "S" from the movie, and not the cartoony comic book/animation one. by the way, is it just me or did anyone else notice how Smaville was cut like every 5 min, to show a mess of commercials includin "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Melrose Place". revivals of shows that were exclusive to the FOX channel....i guess we will be seein a revival of "Married With Children" and "Herman's Head" (yea remember that show? hahaha) soon. althoiugh i didnt mind at alll, the Supes & Bats: Public Enemies dvd commercial they kept showin.

what did you guys think about the episode and where do you think this season is headed?

p.s. i have a feelin that a beef will form between Clark and Corben through Lois. also, when the hell did Zod get all Full Metal Jacket????

I thought it was decent. This was more of a setup episode or the rest of the season... ie... Clark has a year to stop whatever is going to happen... The interesting thing was the flashback dream Lois had at the end of the episode...

man tonight's episode was awesome! did you see the pool of blood Corben was in? i love how they made Metallo half human and half cyborg...instead of just full robot with a human brain and robotic body like in the comics and animations. Metallo was so cool, in this series, that he was a little creepy (well i think so), especially the way that his his kryptonite heart can be heard, pumpin liquid kryptonite through his veins. i think actin was really good just like in Supernatural.....these shows have oscar winnin performaces i think.

This was a major step up from last weeks episode. (Although to be honest the season opener isn't usually as good because it is just setting the stage for the whole year). We can definitely expect to see Metallo more this season.

    Next week looks great too.

Nope, he said he is more machine now and that his body has just shutdown without the heart. When they put it back in though, he will start back up...

haha o ok, thanks man. i know its not real and its only a show, but if his body shuts down, wouldnt that kill him because of the lack of oxygen goin to his brain? i know hes part robot but he still has a brain. what do you think Ashley?

tonights episode was great! i liked the homage to Resident Evil (even though i hate the movie), in the way that Clark wakes up to a lonesome city. i also like how Oliver Queen mentions "Resident Evil", in one scene. the zombies in this episode were like the "crimson-head zombies" in Biohazard/RE, and the Dawn of the Dead remake....in the way that they acted and looked.

did anyone notice the "Death of Superman" revelation, that Lois had towards the end of the episode? also when was Zod demoted to "major", in this series? haha i also think Zod was takin his eastern philosophy knowledge, a little too seriously....in his decapitation technique.

what did you guys think of the episode?

did anyone watch tonight's new episode of Smallville? i was only able to see little bits of it, because the stupid cable went out.... i was able to see some new broad whos bein trained by Green Arrow, i guess shes supposed to be a female "Speedy" or somethin... Clark threatens to destroy Zod and his army, because Zod approached Lois and gave her a "good luck charm"..... i guess Supes is startin to grow some balls in this series, because his threat of violence towards Zod, is somethin only the Golden Age Superman would do. for those of you who dont know, GA Superman used to throw fits and tantrums if he didnt get what he wanted.... he would cause disasters and inconveniences for those that would piss him off.... 1930's, 40's Supes was hardcore, had a temper and at times could turn violent quick.

so what did you guys think about the new episode of Smallville?

I thought it was on par with the rest of this season's episode. It was nice to see Merlyn in it. They moved the Lois/Clark dynamic forward a little more so that was cool... All in all a good episode but, I am totally psyched about next week. The Justice Society of America is going to rock!!!

well, i have to say except for the Smallville episodes that feature Christopher Reeve, tonights Smallville are the best episodes ever made for the series so far. i liked the SCA Last Supper paintin, and the friction between Green Arrow and Hawkman (i was goin for Green Arrow) glad Martian Manhunter is back, and i would like to see him turn green. my favorite SCA member in the episode is Dr. Fate (Kent Nelson the original, ive always liked him), and im pissed that he was killed off....i like the revelation he saw of Clark's Superman cape. its cool that they got Pam Grier to be Amanda Waller, i think Grier is still very bangable, even for a granny....but i will keep this post family friendly hahaha. the actor that played the Icicle kid, looks a little like Ron Howard and his brother....i wonder if hes related to them. the Suicide Squad is comin soon.... i would like to see the original Flash Jay Garrick, come soon and join the action. these episodes were great and written by Geoff Johns so that make it better. anyway who saw the Smallville special tonight, and what your thoughts on it??

So DG, what you're trying to say is you think Pam Grier is a GMILF?
I liked the episode, I missed the very beginning so I didn't get to see Sylvester.
Still I didn't think I'd be able to see it until Sunday, cause that's when it's on the Canadian station.
Bonus, I'll just watch it again.

thats a Big Yes, i know the age diffrence is huge, and shes got close to 40 years on me.... but ive always thought that she was an attractive woman, ever since her "Arena" days. and im glad she still has it, well in my opinion. my age limit for older women is 50, and they have to be in shape and cant be all wrinkly... but Pam is one of the few in thier sixties, that are the exception to my rule. how about you GAH you like any GMILFS too, or do you stay away from fossils? hahaha

Well... I was super excited for this episode and it turned out to be very good... When Amanda Waller said the coming Apocalypse, one can only wonder if she means the kryptonians or Darksied...

Yes I did notice that Icicle looked like the Howards and thought to myself he looked very much like ron howards brother... I was a tad disappointed in Hawkman's costume. At times it looked really ummm... corny and fake. Mostly because of the Wings.... A. They should have gotten someone a tad bigger to play the character and B. The wings should have been bigger

All in all a good episode and it gives some insight into future episodes...

i also thought Darkseid, when she said that...and it would be even better if they got Michael Ironside to play him.

yea he looked more like Ron Howards brother, from The Wraith.

hahaha you mean, like when he smashed Green Arrow through the window, and he was just floatin by the window, and his wings werent even flappin at the time??? which makes me think, how was he able to float and whats the point of the wings, if they arent goin flap when need be.... the costume did look a little cosplay-ish but i liked the "Mr. Macho, prick-like attitude" he had though. i loved the verbal clashes between him and GA. hey maybe they could get the Hawkman, from the Baby Ruth commercials from the 90's hahaha.

I agree the wings kind of bothered me at first, but then I got to thinking, look back at the "Golden Age" Hawkman and the wings were bang on. Still didn't like the chest piece though. On a side note I loved seeing "Red Tornado" in the flashback sequences. I also thought Darkseid when I heard "Apokolips". Ironside would be perfect to play him, you don't need a giant rock dude, Ironside can play it creepy enough to pull it off.

SHE, was the old lady getting taken out of what looked like a restaurant. She had an apron on with the little tornado on front. They even mentioned her by name Abigail Hunkel.
