    That is a serious list!

My all time favorite Group would be Nirvana. I listen to pretty much anything that isn't "Country" music. Can't stand it, never have never will!

Right now I tend to listen to anything by Danny Elfman (except for the Oingo Boingo stuff :) ).

Some of the groups on your list jumped out at me DG. I listen to pretty well anything, (except country), some of the mainstays on my list would be:
    Billy Idol
Bon Jovi (not the newer stuff)
    Clash
    Duran Duran
    INXS
    KISS
    Van Halen
    Ratt
    Haywire
    Honeymoon Suite
That's just for starters, I've been getting into a little Paul Oakenfold and Paul van Dyk lately.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rdfFroO67g"]YouTube - Enjoy The Silence (HQ) - Depeche Mode - Original Video (WTC Tribute !!!)[/ame]

as you may be able to tell the footage is rare because its on top of The WTC.

hahaha sorry Ashley, i couldnt help myself man, i just love so many bands. thats so cool man that youre also a big Nirvana fan (im there with you)....notice that they are way up on my list. Kurt is one of my favorite songwriters of alternative/grunge music. i have all thier albums...even alot of the bootleg shows on from the 80s on vhs....i remember the Live and Loud that aired on New Years eve 1993 on mtv..that show was freakin great. their sound got even heavier and more powerful when Pat Smear got in the lineup..around summer of 93. it made them sound harder and more metal-like similar to thier Bleach days. i like some country (even though alot of people i know dont haha) i was goin to put Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline or Shania Twain...but i only included my most favorite artists. Danny Elfman is a great composer i even consider him a musical genius. aside from his Oingo Boingo, days in the 80s....he has composed so much music for movies and tv...Tales From the Crypt series, Batman TAS and Burton versions, The Flash theme, Spiderman movie themes and The Simpsons just to name a few. i guess no "Weird Science" for you huh Ashley hahahaha.

wow GameAH, just like Ashley, you share some of my same musical tastes as i do. Idol was always cool even back in his Generation X days. i dont blame you on the Bon Jovi stuff i prefer the older stuff myself. the last "new stuff" i liked was back in 2000 durin the "Its My Life" period. i like the Sex Pistols but in my opinion the Clash will always kick thier asses in Punk anyday..... Duran Duran "the Fab Five" that band is New Wave incarnate right there.....probably the best British New Wave band of thier time. INXS, the best Austrilian rock band of all time in my opinion.....AC/DC and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds got NOTHIN on those guys. Ratt is one of the few "hair metal" bands that i like that played hard. i also like some of Paul Oakenfold stuff. i prefer industrial/industrial metal music (in the electronic-like area) Ministry is my favorite industrial band of all time. but i also like electronica as you probably you saw with some of the artist on my list like Moby, Chemical Brothers, Dust Brothers etc.
i was born in the 80s and was a kid in the 90s but man was i glad that i was born durin a time where everythin was awesome! the toys, the movies, the cartoons and the MUSIC. i prefer 70s, 80s, and 90s music anyday against the garbage that people call "music" nowadays.....the 1980s and some 90's are my favorite years.

p.s. GameAH, im very disapointed in you....No Crash Test Dummies? No Barenaked Ladies? No Alanis Morissette? NO RUSH??? .....and you call yourself a Canadian.....j/k hahahahahahahaha

cool SUPREMEQUEEN! Depeche Mode, another product of good 80s music. thats a great song and video...i remember goin up on one of the towers when i was a kid...its ashame what the future brought ill never forget that day. everytime i think of those guys the first song that comes into my head is "Everything Counts". good idea on the video postin i think ill do the same, every few days ill put a favorite song/video in here.

im glad that i made this thread cause now i see that aside from great taste in comics and games, we also have great taste in music.

Thrash/Speed metal, now thats what i call "electric Jazz" hoooo!!

by the way, the director Anton Corbijn, that directed Enjoy the Silence, also directed many of thier other videos. he also directed the video for Nirvana's Heart-Shaped Box and the Rollins Band's Liar video.

DG I only like a couple of Crash Test Dummies songs so I didn't include them, and I'm kinda' sick of Barenaked Ladies. I have Haywire and Honeymoon Suite on my list representing the Maple Leaf. Rush is just considered automatic.
    Here you go:
    Honeymoon Suite - Wave Babies

cool NIN song Ashley, my favorite NIN song/video is "Wish" from thier 1992 Broken album.thanks for the compliment SQ, ill be postin different genres eventually. GameAH, that video and song have the cool 80's vibe all over it. ill have to answer your video with Duran Duran's "the Chauffeur"...i would have chose "Girls On Film", since its in the same ballpark as wave babies...but theres no fun in that video's censored version. now about the "wave babies" if i had to pick i would choose the wave baby at 1:44 - 1:45 with the black hair removin her sunglasess. which Wave Baby would you choose GameAH?

thats another good 80s song Ashley. too bad David Bryne, doesnt want to reunite the Heads again. but atleast there still the Tom Tom Club with Weymouth and Frantz.

OMG! just like that I find my self treking thu long lost song I have'nt played for quite a while. This next one is by the legendary Nancy Wilson. I can't possiable say how much I love this song and video. I've seen this senerio play out all to offten in my "world"........men, secreatly slipping through the dark smoky doors of seedy bars so that they can..........do what it is they've come to do. The era is divin as well! I love the 50ies style it seems to encompass the scope of whats going on very well. Not even the late great Cole Porter could have directed this song and video better..........ssshhh, don't tell him I said that lol. Here is Nancy Wilson singing the iconic hit " Guess Who I Saw Today".

Hey DG, I'm not fussy, I'll take them all. My wife actually grew up near the beach where they filmed this and went there in the summers, (GameAH Fact).

I'm going to showcase some Canadian bands since you guys have probably already seen anything else I could put up.

hmm... when I click on the link it says the video has a malformed video ID.... Try copying the url from the url bar and not the little side thing on the right of the video...
