    Default Hush series 2 Nightwing

Ok, after a short break I`m going back to reviewing. This time around I`m doing a review of one of DC Direct`s most wanted figures, the one and only - Nightwing!

    Packaging:

Check the Batman review for a detailed description of the box.

    Sculpting:

Sculpt-wise Dick Grayson looks just like he should. In my humble opinion this is the best looking Nightwing out there. Headsculpt is great and with the square jaw is very true to the source. They did a pretty good job with the hair, so no complaints there as well. The body itself is really athletic and sculpted with just enough muscles while keeping him from being too buff. Nightwing symbol is sculpted which is always better than just painting it.
Now, there is one problem with the sculpt that may bother some people. The figure has no glove gaunlets which Nightwing does have in most comics. But as Jim Lee didn`t draw them in the comics, Tim Bruckner didn`t feel obligated to sculpt them. From my point of view its not a glaring issue but it might bother some fans so I`m just pointing it out.

    Paint:

Nighwing`s hair is all black with blue shading in order to keep the comic book look to him. Mask is painted blue, yet another thing that may be a problem to some who prefer it to be black, depends on the taste really. Body is painted in black, while the Nightwing symbol is blue. Boots are colored in darker black in order to distinguish them from the rest of the suit.
No problems with the colors but then again you can`t go wrong with Nightwing`s modern costume, he was always on the basic side when it comes to colors.

    Articulation:

Unfortunately not much than a normal DC Direct articulation here. A pity since Nightwing is such an acrobatic character. What we got here is decent but far from perfect.
Ball jointed neck - similar to Batman`s with the same amount of movement, will help with posing since its greatly done. Shoulders are ball joints as well, but surprise surprise they dont move much because of the figure`s sculpt (they tend to screw-up this one a lot). So you can move them up and down but thats pretty much it. The rest of the figure is articulated in elbows, legs and knees - all cut joints.
You can get some decent poses with him but don`t expect anything spectacular.

    Accessories:

Asside from the standard Bat-logo base, figure comes with the inevitable escrima sticks. Its not much, but its all he needs. They are fully removable
but it takes some work to get them out of his hands.

    Difficulty to find: very hard

Big trouble here. He is almost immposible to find, and when you do find him expect to pay a lot for this guy. When I said that he is one of DC Directs most wanted I meant it, so good luck finding him. Luckily I bought him as soon as series 2 hit the stores so I payed the regular price.

    Overall: 4.5/5

Final verdict - best Nightwing ever, in spite of some flaws. Its a great looking figure and if u can find him for a decent amount of money-get it, the figure is well worth it.

    Pictures are in Nightwing album

Thanks! This is one of those figures that should`ve been in the Reactivated line by now, but alas it hasn`t.

What would be a fair price for him? My brother called me a few days ago to say that one was brought into his shop. I don't know how much he's gonna ask for it...
From far away you look like and idiot, but when I get close I'm sure!

Just from looking around on ebay it looks like 30.00 plus 4.95 shipping is the average price people are paying for it. That is loose and MOC alike...

Depends how much you want him :) Its a good figure,is all I can say, I think you can expect around 50-60 bucks, which is in my opinion a good deal considering the rareness of the figure.

i have a feelin, that this Nightwing figure will eventually be....a Super Powers Cyborg part 2 in the price department. is Hush Jason Todd about the same price as Nightwing, or is he worth more?

Those are some cool two packs. Have you seen the Batman or Joker two packs? Looks like a series 6 Superman/Batman Batman figure and a Batman and Son Joker figure. Looks cool!

thanks Nick, the Batmans of the 2 pack are from the First apearence #1 wave, and i think the other is from the Killing Joke wave. the Joker with the cane is from the Silverage wave so is the Catwoman in the mask. i forget where the other figures of Joker and Catwoman are from. hopefully the Modern Nightwing stays the same in color and mold. its goin to be like the Silverage Superboy wave, and how he was rehashed and packaged as Superboy prime.
