MMS DX 01 Joker from Hot Toys

Hot Toys is proud to announce our brand new product line – MMS DX (Movie Masterpiece Deluxe), featuring a newly developed technique on the eyes of our collectible - Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS) with Colored Translucent Iris. The debut of the line is THE JOKER from the Dark Knight movie:

- Hot Toys True Type figure with over 35 points of articulation

- Stands approximately 12 inches / 31 cm tall

- Dressed in Gotham City police suit, hat, Gotham City cop badge and shoes, the characters wears for assassination scene in the movie.

- Weapons -M1 Garand Rifle

- Additional costume: Improved & movie-accurate Joker costume of an overcoat, sport coat, vest, shirt, tie, pants, belt, socks and shoes, with grenades rig and suspenders

- Weapons and accessories : Five pieces of grenades, knife, pistol and Joker cards

- Seven Interchangeable posing hands

- An interchangeable and new make-up Joker head featured with Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS) and Translucent Iris.

- Deluxe figure stand with LED lights

About Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS)

PERS is a brand new technique applies to Hot Toys MMSDX figurines, special features include:
- Unique designed eyeballs with colored Translucent Iris

God they look so real! I had to keep looking-thought they were actual photos of the actor! I couldnt sleep with them eyes on my bedroom shelf!

Yep Hot Toys creates some of the most realistic collectibles out there. My only problem is the clothing... Just doesn't look natural. Granted, it looks better than 99.9% of other 12" figures but, to me it is just very hard to make 12" figures clothing look right...

that Joker's head seems to have, what looks like a tear drop under his left eye... hahaha i didnt know that Joker became a Latin King....

Hey DG, when the eyes are being rotated does it look as if the sculpted orbital eye socket has some "give" to it? Meaning the lower eyelids seem soft and move ever so slightly, and contour to the eye balls as they are bring moved. What do you think? Also I for got, but is the nude Police head gonna have P.E.R.S. too, or just the Joker head?

i dont see the soft lower eye lid thing as it rotates. to me the eye rotation looks normal. from all the pictures that ive seen, the GCPD Joker head looks like a normal Hot Toys head without the rotatin eyes. i think that they are only doin the "rotatin eyes" for the painted Joker head. im not complainin, but i thought that Enterbay had a patent, on the roatin eyes thing for 12" action figures.... damn man, you dont know how ive always wanted to own the "Way of The Dragon" Bruce Lee action figure from them. but that things keeps goin up in price every year.... i was even thinkin of tradin in one of my case fresh factory sealed sideshow Friday the 13th part 3 Jason Voorhees for a factory sealed WOTD Bruce.

hopefully HT doesnt comeout with a DX GCPD Joker with rotatin eye and an "Ennis Del Mar alternate head and cowboy hat" or "Moster's Ball cop uniform" i would really like them to move on and stop redesignin the same figures that they have released.....but i know its all business mentality with them.

since Michael Jackson's death i think HT will be focusin more on him, than their sudden DK craze from last year. they are already releasin a 12" "Thriller" version, with Normal and Zombified head and clothes. i had talked about this on Ashley's HT forum, but i have a feelin they will make a "Beat It", "Captain EO", "Bad" and "Smooth Criminal" 12" action figures of Michael. i like HT and these are my opinions, but sometimes it seems to me like they are more about the dough than their fans (due to the way that they price some figures), so im sure that they will try to pimp out his legacy before its too late for them.

cool pics man, so asumin that the guy that posted the pictures, already got his hands on him early. i like this figure alot and that it has the cop version, and this Joker head looks acurate to the "pencil-trick" scene. i wonder if this figure comes with the magic penicil. but i think that the most accurate, head sculpt of the Joker from HT, is the Bank Robber version.

the Bank Robber version has the correct hue of green hair, his facial expression is just like the movie.....and the make up is all messy. if they wouldve made the "bank robber" head sculp with rotatin eyes, and given him the DX purple suit and body then that wouldve been the most acurate HT DK Joker from the movie.

The 1st pic in post #106 in the link I'm guessing that the image is some how distorted. Joker's head looks all pointed. But I think the DX Joker has the better face sculpt. But I do think the Bank robber's hair is better, but I guessing that has a lot to do with how the head is made to access the eye ball joy stick.
