    Cool DC Universe Classics

    DC Universe Classics

Wave 16 of the Figures finally released!

FINALLY CLASSIC ROBIN (DICK GRAYSON) MAKES IT TO DCUC! theres two versions of
the figure, one is with the forehead curles and a frown (it reminds me more of
Jason Todd) and the other version is the modern look (Burt Ward/Super Powers
    hair style) of the figure.

    "Vintage" sculpt

    "Modern" sculpt

ill probably end up gettin both versions, but i prefer the modern sculpt, for Grayson.
man i cant wait for these figures! they look so cool in these pictures, i hope
that they look the same or better when released.

Looking forward to this wave, except, WHY are they releasing that Batman again?!? Is that not the exact same Batman that was in the Imperiex wave??? I could do without the Knightquest AzBat too. That's 2 figures out of this wave I won't be keeping.

All the reports I've seen don't have the black Batman. The waves have been trimmed to 6 figures with one variant, being Robin this time. I'm glad they're doing both Robins, but it torques me off that that is a "variant." Why not put both heads in the package and give us the "Road Warrior Hex" version as the variant? Maybe Black Batman is the "All-Star" release? Also, the CnC is Bane:

this wave seems to have different versions of it.... check this out.

i read that the classic "variant" with the curls is a Jason Todd version... it would be cool if thats true.

The Joker and Deathstroke are All-Stars for this wave for sure--some sites, like BBTS offer case packs with the All-Star figures; don't know about black Bats. Joker is also getting a black tuxedo repaint as a Toys R Us exclusive.

Some say it's a Jason Todd and others are saying it's an artist-specific Robin (Kubert maybe??) I suppose it could be either, but it's just a different head, so a crappy "variant" in my book.
