    Default Recently Departed

    i made this thread to post, whenever someone passes away...that way i wont have to make a new thread for everyone.

    its been a tough week on Yankees... over the weekeded legendary Yankees announcer Mr. Bob Sheppard passed away, at age 99. now earlier today Yankees owner George Steinbrenner dies at 80... may their souls rest in peace. i wonder if the Yankees will continue to be as determined to win games, now that Steinbrenner is no longer around to scold....

    Was a terrible week as we lost what could be the best sports team owner and quite possibly the best sports announcer. I knew George in was in bad shape but really wasn't expecting it to happen so quick.
