good questions Ashley! and it must really suck, to be a kid nowadays... theres hardly any toy commericals on anymore....its only I-pods and cell phones which is sad... Mattel does seem a little tight-lipped, when it comes to certain questions....its most likely so that rival companies dont learn their marketin tricks. i really wish that Mattel re-released the DCUC waves for people that couldnt get them, the first time around. they should atleast release a 5 pack of older figures together... i dont see how remakin waves will hurt thier business, with the way that the DCUC line has been sellin.... DCUC seems like collector-crack, it seems so addictive to buy.

Yeah, they mentioned they aren't doing TV spots, but not why. Heaven forbid more people find out about DCUC. They said if wave 5 sells out (and it will) they'll consider other rereleases. The problem is that theres tons of figures from waves 6-8 on the shelves and people haven't found much of 11 or 12 in stores. I think what's holding production of old waves back is uncertainty about how many old waves they could sell and production costs. And yes, DCUC is plastic crack.
