.......i have just given up on Marvel movies....they have officially lost my respect.... first Thomas Jane isnt the Punisher anymore, then they scrap the Maguire/Raimi Spidey franchise (which is the best franchise of movies, that Marvel had), and now this???? i have nothin at all against Chris Evans, as an actor or a person.... but i hate the fact that Marvel, keeps recyclin thier actors, this guy is already Johnny Storm, how can he also be Steve Rogers, within the same time period????? if Captain America and Fantastic Four were from rival comic publishers, i would undserstand...... but they arent, and thats what makes his castin as another character, within the same comic universe seem freakin stupid.... the bright side is, atleast DC Comics (my favorite comic company) still has diginity and has better movies, as a whole.... i wonder if Disney has some fault to this Marvel fiasco.....

So far Marvel Studios has done a great job (IMO) of casting for their movies - Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk. The problem is that Fox owns the movie rights (for now) for X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Daredevil. Marvel probably has some say in the matter, but it is a totally separate thing from the current Marvel Studios movies...

i hear you man. i dont have a problem with the people that they cast, its when they have one actor playin two different charcters, that bothers me. but now i understand that its some legal rights crap, that is causin this mess. thats freakin weird man, how could Fox have more controll over a franchise, than the actual creators of the comic titles. i remember Stan Lee had to sue Marvel awhile back, because they were keepin all the Spidey dough, and werent givin him what he deserved. also, i saw an interview with Lee, talkin about how if someone wanted to buy Spider-Man, they couldnt go to him for purchasin because he know longer owns the rights to Spidey.....and i was like "what the fck???" how could the creator of somethin, not have the rights to his own creation..... i guess its liek music, artists make the tracks but the record companies own the tracks.....

I heard that they are planning to reboot the FF anyway, so I doubt he would be cast in the role again.

Haha, I think the whole movie industry is compulsive remakers! Though I have to say I'm looking forward to the A-Team movie.

Actually Fox should be renamed to compulsive remakers :) Marvel has no control over what Fox wants to do. That is why you will see reboots, so that Fox retains the rights to the characters. As long as a movie is created with the characters every few years they will keep the rights. If a certain time lapses between movies then Marvel will regain the movie rights to the characters.

i have a feelin, that eventually the FOX (Compulsive Remakers), and Marvel Entertainment (Disney's Errand Boys), thing will end up in court.... i would like to see a movie, based on that court battle....

I think you are right. I would be very, very surprised if Disney didn't go after Fox within the next five years to get the rights back...

man if this thing goes to court, its goin to get real nasty.... the comic book characters themselves, might even be rallyin and protestin outside the court buildin, when the inevitable litigation comes.....
