I'm really getting psyched up for this movie now that it's in production. I've been searching for any info I can find, can't wait for a pic of the costume. I've read that they used the "Emerald Dawn" storyline as a base and that Guy Gardner and Alan Scott have cameos. Apparently Pierce Brosnan was considered for Alan Scott. There was also a tidbit that in the original script Clark Kent had a cameo as one of the possible replacements for Abin Sur, but it was cut because they didn't want to rely on another character. Man can't wait.

Yeah, I am totally excited about this one as well! I haven't heard the Guy Gardner or Alan Scott rumors though... I did hear this about John Stewart though...

In Green Lantern Secret Origins, a scene from the comic shows Air Force pilot Hal having a confrontation with a Marine by the name of John Stewart.

A guy by the name of Nick Jones (who is a real ex-marine) was recently hired for a scene shooting currently in New Orleans (at a bar)

Hopefully, they'll do a good job. I do worry that the Hal Jordan origin story has been told quite a bit (like in Green Lantern: First Flight) but I suppose that might not have been seen by a lot of the general public. I just hope they throw in some new storylines. Best of luck to GL fans!
