Hey, thanks for posting the link to here on the DC forum.
With the increase in DCUC's wave size to seven and the addition of the All-Star figures, will future waves include more than one female figure? It doesn't seem like any more of a sales risk than doing supremely obscure characters like the Adrian Chase Vigilante or Citizen Steel, and I'm worried about missing out on some favorite obscure female characters because of the lack of them in the line.
Maybe I'm wrong, but wasn't mentioned that the stands included with the allstars would be character themed stands? I would like an answer to this. I see the following up for preorder with stands:hal-batman-wonder woman-robin and Shazam. I'm hoping they aren't talking about stands on matty site!
What is being done to make the DCUC and INFINTE UNIVERSE figures more available to the Canadian market? It gets a bit expensive buying them online or ebaying.
Check the diamond previews catalog-they are now listing Infinite heroes and will be selling sets of dc classics in an agreement with mattel. Local comic shops and online subscriptions offer 10 to 30% off. If you are on good terms with local shops they may give you deals! You have to remember only wave 1 has even hit usa retail with a few wave 2 showing up now. Impulsecreations has best shipping. If you have want list post it. Singles $5 and 3 pks $15 to $18 here.
I know we are usually behind the U.S. releases, but we only ever had wave one of the classics released here that I've ever seen. They were pulled from the shelves very quickly when all the chinese lead paint stuff happened. Canada is so tight we will probably never get a general release of them again, since they screwed up once. (Grumpy cause my truck got broken into).
Sorry to hear about your truck. Hopefully everyone will start to see more after the holidays..
Have you checked online? Ebay? wave 1 is cheap!
Thanks, I'll check again. I haven't been looking seriously, just once in a while. I'm only really interested in collecting the original J.L.A. and Teen Titans. Though if I find something cheap I might grab it.
I have xtra green arrow -hal-canary 3 pk on way <infinite heroes> if u want pm me. The exclusive starfire dc classic set is a mattycollector.com exclusive on sale jan.15th- She's the only titan besides cyborg and kid flashin the 6" line. The infinite heroes has titan box set coming with mal-the brain-raven-robin and cyborg!
If you have questions now would be the time to ask... I have to have them turned in tomorrow.
On top of my head
Any chance of seeing Ra`s Al Ghul in the Movie Masters line?
Any chance of DCUC Legion figures with a nice Colossal boy or Validus BAF??
(Or we could get 3 waves of LOSH and throw in a Mordru BAF).
Please.....
1> will we have to wait as long for a 6inch cheetah as we did for a JLU one? 2>why go with the stands for matty.com? 3>will infinite heroes and dcu prices go up again this year?
Would like to see more LSH figures from the Legion. Is there a chance someone may create the Grell era Superheroes? They had the best costumes for the Legion.
Also when is a Kamandi coming out?
They've mentioned legion-problem is there are so many members just like the gl corps-I think we will see a few like cosmic boy-brainiac 5 and saturn girl. 3 box sets of 5 figures per set would be great start. I just don't see that happening without a cartoon to help promote the figures.
There's a lot of DCUC fans in my country, including me. But we always find it difficult to get WalMart and Mattycollector.com exclusives.
DCUC Wave 5 are very hard to find in my country because there is no WalMart. (And i have to bought the set a few weeks ago for $400 :()
For the Matty.com exclusives, we wants it but it usually solds out fast in US and the delivery costs to get here is very high. So, most of us can't get them at all for all that reasons. (And i think we won't get the MOTUC and the Ghostbusters easily either) :(
We really want them, and i hope Matty will do something about this.. Please..
(Btw, i live in Indonesia)
It does seem to suck for International collectors for the DCUC and MOTUC lines. I'm a little peeved because I was trying to keep my DCUC collection tight and I passed on an Eradicator which is apparently hard to find. I didn't even know wave 5 was a WM exclusive back then. So I just have to realize that even though that sucks it's not as bad as trying to collect where there is no WM.
Hey guys I need your questions before this Monday for the August 15th Q and A with Mattel.
Just reply to this post and I will try and get them in...
Fortunately, Mattel answered a lot of DCUC questions. My question would be if Mattel has discussed with Wal-Mart possibly offering the exclusive waves online or somehow ensuring product makes it to the shelves and is not pulled by Wal-Mart employees for selling on ebay. Obviously, the ability to get the Wal-Mart waves is the #1 DCUC collector concern.
Here is my question for Mattle: Dear Mattle, are you ever gonna give us any more charactors from the Wonder Woman mythos? So far all we have are WW, Ares, Circe, and the BAF Giganta. Are there any plans on Cheetah, Artemis, Dr. Psyco, Maby even an Etta Candy (i bet that would make for one hell of a chase fig). Any way thats my DCUC wants for the moment.
KILL THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!
My question for Matty is about the price increase that online stores are instituting after wave 10, which is apparently caused by Mattel raising prices to distributors. Given the current economic climate, where collectors are as cash-strapped as anyone, is it advisable to raise prices and if sales drop because of it, will it spell the end of DCUC?
great question Flash. and here's my take on the whole matter: I think because Mattle just can't seem to lock down a secure an over seas manufacturing plant that is able to crank out the figs on the level needed to meet demand. Thus, Mattle's lack of mass produseing translates in to higher priced figs for us. Mattle can't offer a price thats closer to a volume price. In short Mattle is passing more than just their higher production cost to us, they are passing along the follies of "key stone cop" style business management to we the loyal collector fans. IMO Mattel need to grow up and learn to play ball in the majors! their rubber stamp excuses are sooooo transparent its a joke!
KILL THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!
