    Cool The Science of Fighting

hey guys, i thought i would make this thread for us fans, of any sport that involves fighting. ive been a fan of boxing since i was about 8 years old, and a fan of mma since i was 10 years old. my first boxing match that i ever saw was Chavez vs Camacho all the way back in 1992. my first mma fights i saw were when i used to watch UFC on PPV back in the mid 90's. back when i first started watchin mma on ufc, the fighters were 1D and the sport seemed savage-like with all the eye gougin and the anythin goes mentality. the sport has evolved and come a long way, todays fighters are 3D in fightin platforms. MMA has also become extremely safe nowadays, compared to its first shows... in my opinion MMA is safer than boxing, unless its Vale Tudo, then Boxing is safer.

as a kid i started with UFC, but im not a fan of UFC anymore.... while i was growin up i always favored and still favor K-1, and Pride FC more (thats when Pride FC wasnt owned by UFC yet), i also like Pancrase and Dream more than UFC. i was first exposed to martial arts when i first saw Van Damme in Bloodsport back in the 80's, thats the first movie that introduced me to martial arts, or better yet MMA. ive been doin martial arts since i was 9 years-old (i prefer martial arts and MMA over boxing though), i have tried MMA and have rolled around with guys who do it for a living, but ive never done anythin pro though, just as a hobby.

im a fan of many fighters, while growin up my top favorite MMA fighters of all time were and are Bas Rutten, and Fedor Emelianenko, they are the ones whos careers ive followed most. in boxing it was and is Oscar De La Hoya, Muhammad Ali, Julio Cesar Chavez, Joe Calzaghe, and Mike Tyson. my favorite martial artists are, Gene LeBell (one of the original pioneers of modern grappling), Lee Jun Fan aka Bruce Lee (founder of Jeet Kune Do and my inspiration to learn martial arts), Jean-Claude Van Damme (i know hes an actor but next to Bruce Lee, hes the first martial artist, that got me interested to learn more about martial arts as a kid), Choi Hong Hi (founder of ITF Taekwon-Do and my first martial art), Masaaki Hatsumi (founder of Bujinkan Ninjutsu), Imi Lichtenfeld (founder of Krav Maga), and Hélio Gracie (founder of modern Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) just to name the ones that ive concentrated on the most.

i like all sports of fightin, but my base for fightin sports that i enjoy most are Muay Thai and MMA. ill be posting MMA fights, interviews or anythin thats martial arts or fight related in this thread, just as long as there are fight fans or martial artists here at bzzurkk.

does anyone else here do martial arts or follow MMA, boxing or any fighting sport? and if you do, who are your favorite fighters or martial artists?

I'm more of a boxing guy. The only MMA fighter I like is BJ Penn. But when it comes to boxing, it's all about Pacman.

i like Pacquiao too, and i think its bs what the Mayweather camp are tryin to put him through allegin that he isnt clean. Mayweather is a great technical boxer, one of the best in his generation. now i dont know if his obnoxiousness is just for show, or if he really is like that, but he runs his mouth a little too much sometimes....for his own good. i think hes tryin to put Manny through all the blood/urin crap, cause he knows Manny is the boxer to finally close his mouth. thats why i like Manny, hes dangerous in the ring, but outside the ring hes humble and doesnt talk trash.

I agree 100% about the whole Pacquiao/Mayweather situation.

I also like Manny because he's really humble outside the ring too.

Well I watched the trailer... I don't know though, it looks a little cheesy but, I guess most movies like that back in the 80's were so I will probably watch it.

haha i know what you mean, it has like a comic relief feel to it at times.... i want to see it too but i also want to check out Universal Soldier 3, Van Damme is back...and get ready for this one, so is Dolph Lundgren as GR13...."how the hell is he back as GR13?" do you ask, well hes a clone now hahaha. a few years back they were talkin about a Bloodsport 2, with Van Damme and Fedor as the "last boss" character in the movie....the 80's and 90's action stars, i guess are tryin to make a comeback. ill rather see old fashioned 1980's crashes and explosions over the CG and wire garbage most action movies use nowadays. thats why the Dark Knight was so good action wise, cause it was all real 80s action and explosions, no CG garbage was used.

hey Flash youre goin to love this, as much as i did when i first found out.....

whats next are they goin to remake Cagney and Bogart's "Angels with Dirty Faces".... or better yet "Casablanca" but they would probably call it "White House" since its a remake...... heres an idea i just came with, hollywood should make a movie, about an industry that takes great tv shows and movies and "remake"(destroy) them.....thats got to be more excitin than movie remakes.... not only can that movie be a drama, but also a bio-pic on whats become, for the most part a shtty industry.

    Tekken 2010

Tekken is my favorite GC fightin game franchise of all time.... but this movie looks like a piece of sht, ive scene cosplays that look more interestin than this garbage. the Tekken japanimation is a "billion to the 10th power" better than the way this crap looks. in my opinion the only live action movie based on a video game, thats watchable and got it right, is the first Mortal Kombat movie.....and a BIG maybe to "Street Fighter" with Van Damme and Raul Julia....but for the most part, every other live-action movie based on a video game, is garbage....

what do you guys think of the "A-Team" remake and this waste of film dubbed "Tekken" ?

hahaha the powers that be got involved, and labeled it "animal cruelty", thats why they arent in there.... then again, you could always count on Michael Vick, to make it happen.....

on the serious side, did you hear the rumor that they might get Christian Bale to play Solid Snake? if Bales does it, i think the movie would be really good, since Bale is a very serious actor and seems to choose his movie roles wisely.

Mayweather win.... round 1,2 is in favor for Mosely but in the long run Mosely has been defeated by Mayweather but Mayweather don't knock him out. :D
