Hush series 1 The Joker

Hello everybody, today I`m reviewing arguably the most popular villain in comic book history, Batman`s arch-enemy, the Joker!
This Joker was first available, along with other figures in Hush series 1, in 2004.
The Joker didn`t do much in the Hush story, but the fact that he was featured in it was enough reason for DC direct to produce him.
Packaging:
The box is the same as Batman`s (who I reviewed not too long ago), the only difference is the Joker picture on the right side.
Sculpting:
Another good job by Tim Bruckner! Jim Lee drew kinda unique version of Joker, with long nose, elf like shoes and hair horns, he sure was creepy. All of that is captured in this figure.
The headsculpt is outstanding, with big scary smile and exaggerated eyebrows, along with already mentioned devil horns on his head.
The sculpting on the gun, which is molded in his right hand, is great, giving him that oversized cartoony look with BANG flag coming out of the barrel.
He is tall and thin just like the Joker is supposed to look like.
Paint:
Joker is painted in his traditional colors. His suit is purple, with green vest and orange shirt.
They actually used a pink paint wash on his face, instead of going with plain white which is a nice touch as well.
Only one issue here, there are some minor paint bleeds between his face and his hair, but the overall paint quality of the figure is pretty good.
Articulation:
The Joker is really well articulated, in fact he is one of the most articualted DC Direct figures to date!
He comes with neck, jaw (really cool), shoulders, biceps, elbows, wrists, ball jointed waist, hips and knees.
The articulation works great and you can get him in some really nice poses.
Accessories:
The only accessory is the Batman logo base that comes with every figure in the series. An extra removable hand would`ve been really nice.
Difficulty to find: easy
Joker can still be found in stores, and u wont pay much for him online.
All in all u shouldn`t have much trouble finding one.
Overall: 4.5/5
Four years later this figure is still one of the best Joker figures ever. He is good for display and he is well articulated if u want to play with him. If you haven`t done that already, pick one up, trust me you wont regret it.

Hey aren't they rereleasing him in the box set next year? Looks like cool version as well!
-
Yes they are, the new paint job looks awesome! Although the only figure I really want in that set is Two-Face.
-
Good review, I wouldn't argue the point he's the greatest comic book villain though, especially after Ledger's performance in DK.
-
Thanks. Heath`s performance was definitely something.
I`m currently in the moving phase, because of that all my figures are in their respective boxes.
As soon as I move into the new place, I`ll get back on the reviews. Poison Ivy is next.
