Daredevil Reboot Getting Started!

    Today, Deadline.com has an exclusive report concerning the reboot of the franchise. Regency is heading up the remake with Peter Chernin producing. Screenwriter David Scarpa, who scripted The Day The Earth Stood Still for Fox, is writing the screenplay.

    The reason for the reboot? Simple. To maintain ownership of the film rights for Daredevil, Fox has to keep making films. If they don't, then the ownership returns to Marvel, or Disney now...



    I am hoping that the reboot is much better than the original. The new Producers need to closely watch the original Daredevil movie AND DO THE EXACT OPPOSITE of everything!

      I liked the Daredevil movie. Affleck, Favreau, Garner, and Duncan all put in good performances, though there were admittedly things that didn't add up. I thought the costume was cool and actually seemed to be functional. My guess is they couldn't afford to get the cast back together. I am officially anouncing a "boot the reboot" campaign to stop this nonsense!

      The costume wasn't an issue an admittedly the Director's cut was much better than the theatrical version but, Ben Affleck's acting was atrocious. Jennifer Garner had to be the worst. It was like she was changing her voice to sound "heroic". Duncan was decent as the Kingpin but, the actors playing his "stooges" were "After School Special". Bullseye was the only redeeming factor from the movie!

      I take that back Favreau was cool as Nelson as well. The theatrical version was just plain rushed with lots of story cut for time.

      ....oh no here we go with the remake recon garbage..... i liked Affleck as Matt Murdock and i thought the movie was alright. but Marvel really needs to stop with the remake/recon crap its gettin annoyin. heres a thought, why doesnt Marvel just make the movies right the first time, so then they wont have to remake/recon movies every 2 months or so..... so whos goin to be Daredevil now, Matt Damon???

      I didn't mind the DD movie, sure it could have been better, but it was oscar material compared to the first Hulk movie. Speaking of the Hulk did you guys ever see the Daredevil appearance on the old TV show? That was bad.

      hahahaahha o man, that quote from you GAH, gets a standin ovation... i couldnt agree more with you haha. i never saw Matt in the old Bixby/Ferrigno Hulk.... judgin by the 70's tv series costume of Captain America, i could only imagine the cosplay quality of Daredevil there....

      Actually Marvel doesn't have a choice in the matter on this one... Fox owns the rights to the character.... for now...
